The history of the Maury County Fair is long and illustrious. It began in 1950, as a civic project of the Columbia Jaycees and has continued, uninterrupted for the past 55 years. The Maury County Fair had several locations before finally finding a home at the Maury County Park, which the Fair and Columbia Jaycees were instrumental in securing the property from The University of Tennessee and development of the Park through the years.
